Some details of my own version of Böcklin's iconic piece.

"The Isle of the dead" ("Die Toteninsel") by Arnold Böcklin.
Böcklin painted four versions of the same canvas, in 1880, 1883, 1884 (destroyed in Rotterdam during WWII), and 1886.
I am fascinated by certain artworks. One of these is "The Isle of the Dead". I still remember how troubled I felt the first time I saw it. I did my own versions of the famous canvas. Personal project.
