Castle in the Sky inspired illustrations
I always loved Ghibli movies. One of my favourites is "Castle in the Sky". Beautiful story and wonderful designs. I just wanted to create some illustrations based on the robot appearing on the film :)
Painting process with some comments
People running for their lives after some robots storm the city.
Some work in progress images.
The robots were good guys but they got attacked and reply violently. Like a hurted animal trying to defend itself against a predator.
Doodle before start painting to make sure the colors and composition is well established.
