I always liked noir movies, especially the strong lights, the contrast and the photography. Also the character of the femme fatale is very attractive to me. Crime, love, mystery, thrill are the ingredients of a fictional movie, called "Black Rose", that I tried to reflect in this poster.
Ah, the quote is from Frank Miller's "Sin City". I still remember the phrase at the beginning of the first issue. That comic influenced my a lot.
I hope you like it as much as I did drawing and making reference researches :)
These are early versions of the movie poster. At the beginning she was in front of a backstage mirror, and the mood was completely different. I also liked the final result.
